A while ago, I was asked to make a podcast about the platform economy, instead of the planned lecture which was cancelled because of the COVID2019-crisis. I have never made a podcast before, so this one is full of brutal edits and in general it is much more rough than I would like. Also: I don’t like to listen to my voice myself, so imagine the struggle editing this.
Anyway, it is a broad introduction to the platform economy and some of its issues. The bit where I muse about representation of platform workers is based on a forthcoming publication by me and a Dutch colleague, about which I will write something later on.
