UPM’s biodiesel got the Finnish Key Flag symbol

This is a quite interesting news, not so much because of the Key Flag symbol but because the biofuel is apparently soon used as a component in more environmentally-friendly diesel in certain Finnish gas stations. If it works as well as they claim, there should be reason to invest in greater production capacity.

At some point I referred to the ‘austerity is illegal’ -argument. Well, it now has been thoroughly researched (see link in text) and even the Council of Europe found many violations of the European Social Charter. Also the ILO -report on austerity in the context of working life should be a heavyweight rebuke of current policies.
